Who’s in Boca Rotan? Why Westford Asset Management is.

Boca Rotan, referred to as “God’s waiting room.”  At least that’s what Seinfeld said and who could blame him.  Doesn’t that picture want to make you go for a visit?  We’re all familiar with Miami, Orlando, even Tampa, but Boca Rotan has just as many reasons to visit as the rest of the Florida’s cities including businesses like Westford Asset Management, temperatures ranging from 76 to 92, and a small population compared to its bigger city counterparts.  What’s not to like?

I know what you’re thinking, what’s the big deal about Boca Rotan.  How about something different for a change?  I don’t know about you, but when I travel, I like to try those rare beautiful places and see what’s special about them.  Why would a company like Westford Asset Management chose Boca Rotan over Miami?  What’s the appeal to the smaller venue verses the bigger one?  Those are questions I’d like to find out.

So, what do you say?  Check it out for a short while and see what you think.  Oh, while your there, don’t forget about Westford Asset Management.  Remember, there’s got to be some appeal to Boca Rotan besides “God’s waiting room.”

Education and Ashley M. Stevanovich

I am a fan of learning.  I’m constantly reading and researching to expand my mind and I believe anyone can learn no matter their age or social environment.  Education isn’t something for the privileged.  It’s something that should be available to all who want it.  It’s a comfort to know that I’m not alone in my feelings about the power of education.  Meet Ashley M. Stevanovich, an advocate for the power of education and how it can change a person’s life.

Ashley M. Stevanovich supports an innovative program called Break Through which “takes kids with potential out of public Middle Schools and brings them to Pine Crest School to work with students and teachers.”  Pine Crest is an all-faith, college preparatory school and has developed an outstanding academic curriculum allowing students to graduate and become professional and community leaders.  Programs and schools like this is what education is all about.

Ashley M. Stevanovich gets it.  Do you?

Sak Narwal’s passion for fishing

Ever heard the saying “Give a man a fish.  He’ll eat for a day.  Teach a man to fish.  He’ll eat for a lifetime.”  Well Sak Narwal knows all about that.

As a dedicated fisherman, Sak Narwal has been obsessed with fishing ever since he was a little boy.  He has traveled around the world in search of the greatest fishing spots and has fished everything from salmon to bass to even sharks.  No fish is too big or too small for this fisherman, but no worries.  For those animal lovers out there, he is simply a catch and release fisherman enjoying the love of the catch and the pleasure of his environment.

For Sak Narwal, it’s more than just fishing.  It’s a way of life.

Spiritual Renewal with RENEW International

My grandmother was a spiritual person.  Before she passed, she attended Catholic mass every Sunday and at least once during the week.  Her faith was undeniable and her willingness to not only expand on her faith but share it with others demonstrated her inner passion.  Even upon death, that passion never failed.  I find it’s like that with most spiritual people and it’s a comfort to know there is a ministry designed for those with a passion towards the Catholic faith: RENEW International.

Since 1976, RENEW International has been helping dioceses in the United States as well as 25 countries around the world.  With a mission of fostering “spiritual renewal in the Catholic tradition by empowering individuals and communities to encounter God in everyday life, deepen and share faith, and connect faith with action,” RENEW International can help even the most spiritual person deepen their inner passion.  My grandmother would have been proud.

Yes summer is over.  I hate to say it, but it’s true.  I can’t imagine not going to the beach every weekend or taking off for summer vacation.  However, it doesn’t have to be that way.  There’s hope through VMT Vacations.

When that cold weather hits, I just love the idea of going away to a tropical island and avoiding weather I could do without.  With VMT Vacations, you can take island tours to Hawaii or tour California and Mexico.  Imagine being warm when the rest of New England is freezing.  I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

For those of you who may not like the tropics, have no fear.  VMT Vacations offer trips to Alaska, Canada, Europe and more.  There’s a vacation spot for all types of travelers.

I know you don’t want to admit it, I don’t either, but I’m sorry to say the cold weather is coming.  With the conclusion of summer, homeowners have to prepare for winter.  We pack up our patio furniture, cover our pools, and mow our lawns one last time knowing that cold front is just around the corner.  However, there’s one thing you don’t want to neglect, your windows.  That’s were K-Designers come in.

Did you know even when you think your window is shut tight cold air can still seep through?  K-Designers know.  They specialize in exterior remodeling and that includes windows.  With over 30 years of remodeling experience and over 100,000 satisfied customers, you can’t ask for a better company to help fight the cold air.

Cooking with Wangethi Mwangi

I find it interesting the people who are passionate about food.  It isn’t always your cooks and chefs, those people who work in a kitchen.  These foodies can be people in the corporate world who use their passion for food as an expression of themselves.  Take Wangethi Mwangi for example.

Wangethi Mwangi is a veteran journalist who serves as Editorial Director for a media company in Kenya.  His interests are in media law and economics and he is a strong believer in free press.  Yet he has a deep passion for Kenyan food.   You can find new recipes from chicken to bread on his blog.  He keeps them simple and to the point, easy for any cook to try whether an amateur or connoisseur.

I don’t call myself a foodie.  I’m not much of a cooker or food enthusiast.  What I know about food is that I love to eat it.  I have my favorites: Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Thai, but sometimes I like to venture out of my comfort zone and try something new.  Who knows, maybe I’ll try one of Wangethi Mwangi recipes.  They just look so good.

American Tax Relief for the Weary

I knew someone who could have used the expertise of American Tax Relief.  I’m going to tell you a little story.

There was this woman, very intelligent and very kind.   She started her career in the corporate world at a young age by owning her own business.  It was this business that moved her up the ladder.  She became an AVP of a very competitive company and soon came into her own as a powerful associate.  She worked hard and played hard and enjoyed the fruits of her labor.  However, through all of this, there was one thing she never did.  She never filed her taxes.

30 years into her career, this woman realized it was time to file.  So she gathered all her saved pay stubs and receipts and completed her tax forms.  She owed $100,000 in back taxes and didn’t know what to do.  She contacted the IRS and was able to setup a budget plan to pay off the taxes.  What she didn’t know, though, was that the IRS had a tax relief program, where if she qualified, she could have settled her debt for a fraction of what she owed.  She should have called American Tax Relief.

American Tax Relief handles more than 200 cases a month and works with people as a middle man to the IRS to help settle their back taxes.  This woman could have used their help, how about you?

YMT Vacations and the Joy of Traveling

As someone who loves to travel, I am always looking for deals on the internet.  Many travelers have their favorite spots.  For me, it’s the tropics, places like the Hawaii.  For you, it may be Europe or perhaps Canada.  Well, no worries.  There’s a website that has deals to multiple locations as well as a variety of cruises: YMT Vacations and better yet, they cater to the mature adult crowd.  Who says you can’t enjoy the beach when you’re retired?

I was bitten by the travel bug at an early age and I have no intention of stopping just because I’ve gotten older.  I take comfort in knowing that when I’m retired I can still enjoy my travels through YMT Vacations and at a discounted price.

I find that all travelers are alike, they can’t stop traveling.  It’s like a fire that runs through your blood always burning for more.  Myself, I have to take at least one trip every year or I feel lost like I didn’t accomplish a goal and I’m almost certain it’s a feeling that will never go away.  It runs in my family.  If you’re like me, I’m sure you feel the same way as I do.  Seeing new places and experiencing new things bring joy into my life, a joy I don’t want to see end.

With YMT Vacations, I know it doesn’t have to.
